[2013.07.20] 5 players game review (unexpected end)
A very interesting game last weekend, with very unpredictible results. I'll try to summarize the best I could, but was a week away so I may forget lot of things...
We played with our usual crew (me + 3 regular players), plus one newbie.
First thing to notice, the game was pretty long, almost 3h. We got a lot of time to play as survivor because when the first zombie player appeared, almost every players had 3 locations ! We never had this configuration before, it was pretty cool
Another thing, our usual unlucky player became kind of lucky on this game (no more bad rolls), and didnt turn into a walker from the whole game !! This was a big surprise for us ^^
I dont remember much of other players moves and epic plays but I kinda remember my own character play (T-Dog), so lets add some details :
I started the game very good, and get quickly ahead of everyone by collecting my first 2 locations very quickly (first department store, then police station). I got my 4 allies till then, everything was going fine. 8)
Until I came closer to the 3rd location (fuel station, because I picked a lot of jerrycans) !! I lost my 4 allies in 2 turn, and got broke from scrounge cards (only a NLW left), mostly due to Horde, and other bad rolls...
Anyway, with 2 more locations to visit, I was sure that I'd ended up "dead walking". I still managed to get to my 3rd location (using my last scrounge), but died on 2nd encounter. Our newbie, afraid of walkers, "more save inside" me, so I ended up on a minor location (firestation, just look where it is on the pic below...) 
At that time, I only got fate cards to save my ass so I used the "full throttle" to get as quickly as possible to the fuel station, which I managed to do without dying (I dont remember how, mostly luck I guess
) and AGAIN, died on 2nd encounter.
Another survivor saved me with NLW (nice one ^^) and I was then able to use my jerrycans.
But it was a very long way to go to my closest last location (CDC). With still no allies, and no more scrounge cards, I was pretty bad...
I used jerrycan every turn to go quicker, and get saved from some encounters with "distracted walker" before getting to my last location. On the way, I could use my special ability to triple the +1 space on an encounter, but then, I dont remember how I got to the last location ALIVE...
Got personality conflict on location encounters so get pretty lucky, and got some scrounge cards due to fight winning (giddy up and shortcut, but no fight helper though).
At that time other players were about the fuel station, trying to get their 3rd location, but one of them died and attacked the others...Another walker rose a bit later, but just after, "walker master" was played to prevent the walkers to use sewers (and get close to Prison) !!
From the CDC, I used jerry can + shortcut + giddy up (+ good move roll 6) to come the closest to the prison map tile, was just 1 or 2 spaces away, but still had encounter to face...Lucky me because a survivor just actived "Cant touch this", which saved my ass on this one !
I entered the prison map tile next turn, I was about 3 turns to win, without any encounters to do. One player which had 4 locations was not far behind me, but with the stop spaces, I was pretty sure to finish before her !
Imagine my stress when on the Prison map tile, without any allies and any scrounge cards anymore, another player draws 2 surrounded in a row on the fuel station location (same region than prison)...
With "cant touch this" actived, I just needed a 2 to win both fights (police station +1), but I already rolled lot of 1 in the game. Lucky me, for both surrounded, I dont, and managed to get back to Prison first, so won !
By the way, when there are only 2 walkers on a 5 players game, the winning survivor is alone winning right ? No survivor vs zombies if not 3 zombies correct ?
Anyway, I'm still shocked about this game result, when I lost all my allies and scrounge, I really thought I was screwed, moreover I had 2 more locations to visit that time...But I finally managed to win, mostly with lot of luck and just needed roll values...Kind players helped me as well, I would be a walker without them !!

Anyway, we were not sure about one thing. A survivor used a shortcut to help me get near the prison (move from 4 spaces), but I had a "stop space" on the way. Should the movement be blocked on stop space or not ? My guess is that on another players turn, you dont resolve any of the spaces you are moved on, so should be OK, but need to confirm this...? Oh and same thing for Lori's ability right ?
Anyway, thanks for your effort on this expansion, it makes a bunch of exciting games !!

It was very funny and interesting to read your game report. Nice game. Never give up. It's over when it's over. If there were only 2 Walkers in a 5 player game then you had a glorious rare single win. Congratulations! 
You are not allowed to move a survivor through a Location Space, so moving the target past stop signs is okay. Shortcuts are very useful on the prison tile, to help or to stop a survivor.
